How Is Your Life Different?

I'm reading Francis Chan's book Crazy Love, and I recommend it highly with a warning. Do not read this book if you like being comfortable. Do not read this book if you don't want to spend reading sessions squirming in your seat. Do not read this book unless you are ready to embrace a challenge.

Here's a question that he presents that is haunting me all day as I walk around:

What am I doing that requires faith?

It seems like a simple question but in truth it should be earth shattering. We could expand the question like this:

If I were not a Christian, would my life look different than it looks now?

What would change in my life if I lived the way the Bible says?

How would I behave/live/ spend/ give differently if I really and truly believed that God is exactly who He describes Himself to be in the Bible?

I'm squirming--how about you?

On Monday I'm going to share about an adventure of faith that I'm embarking on. It involves a proposal, a cleaned up office and a very happy girl. I'd love to hear about any adventure of faith that you're living.

Now, I am going to have to get that book. I have had some of the same questions floating in my mind lately. Carla

Whew, I am definitely trusting God totally with the words I write and the words I speak. Just yesterday, I said something so hard, but true, to a friend. I didn't want to say it, but God laid it so heavy on my heart to tell that person. I am unsure of how our relationship might change, but I am just trusting Him.

I am walking in faith in this land....beautiful people but lots of idolatry and religion. Amazing to see how they turn to God when they come to truly understand Him. Have seen close to 50 people accept Christ in the 4 months we have been here!!! PTL!!! Myrna

My husband and I are living an adventure of faith as we have grown closer to God, closer to each other, and have realized that material things are just that, "things". We received a wake up call from God when my husband lost his job over a year ago. We have sold all material "toys" and have learned how to live really "lean". Our next step is to give up "fancy" cars for something that can get me back and forth to work! It has been an eye opener, but not necessarily a bad one! We love the Lord and know he will provide. I know right around the corner something great is waiting for us that will be centered around our Lord. God Bless you Amy and all the P31 girls who do so much for us through God.
