A Public Service Announcement

I have something very important to tell you. Now, you might want to write this down and put it some place that's visible at all times. Do you have your pen poised? Here we go...

Read the directions on all medications and follow them. Exactly as they're given.

Does that seem obvious to you? I would have said "yes" until I didn't last week and have suffered the consequences ever since.

Instead of swallowing my pill with a "full glass of water", I took a little swig. Turns out that my esophagus didn't like that pill laying in there. One little bit. So a week later I'm finally starting to eat without pain again.

I'm not shy about soliciting sympathy, so if you feel ANY please feel free to leave a loving comment. Please no finger-wagging. I get it now. I really do. The sound of crickets is going to speak volumes. :)

It's made me think of how we sometimes approach life in a big rush. We're sure that we've got it figured out, so we ignore the directions that have been plainly given to us. And God must grieve to see how it injures us...on the inside where often nobody can see.
