Just Thinkin'

There are times when I feel like my brain stagnates. Piles of laundry with stacks of man clothes don't require a lot of deep cognition. (Although sometimes it's soothing to let my busy brain rest while doing thoughtless, repetetive work.)

The last few days have gotten my brain to working overtime as I've parried around ideas with friends. We've grown ideas together on

The core of ministry

Spreading ideas

Life's priorities

Finding our niche for service

These are some of the topics that light my fire.

I've been thinking about Jesus. How His story and ideas have spread around the whole world. But He started it all by pouring His life into just 12 men. Big things from small things.

I think that might be my mission in ministry. I think I'm personally called to help a small number do big things while some of my sisters in ministry are doing things on a big scale (and I rejoice with them!)

These are some of the things rolling around in my brain and heart today. How about you?

Oh Amy...this 'thinkin' of yours really touched this girl's heart.

I feel so called into women's ministry and am serving in my church and community.

Though I try to make myself available for "bigger service" perhaps God just wants my availability and to use me in a geographic place close to my home...and close to HIM.

Thank you for 'thinkin'...cause now I am 'thinkin' too. :)

Praising God for a Sister who seems to be writing my heart at times.

I think God answered you! I like the idea of "small group" ordeal.
I was a deaconess at our church, but I have stepped down after I did my 3 years and now I am helping out Aid to Women where I am "learning to be a facilitator" for Post Abortion Stress (PAS). Also, I am "training" to be a prison mentor for one of the girls coming out of jail. I am so much better on one on one and a small group! I love how God uses us all in different ways!

Love what you are thinkin'! I can totally sense this from working with you! God has placed a gift in you and for you to share that with other women to encourage and help them share God with others is incredible.

Counting it a blessing to be one of your "12".
