Made to Crave Moment

I had some small victories this week that I'm going to trust turn into battles that win the WAR...

Pulling out the left-over mashed potatoes that I made for the boys and stopping to pray before I reheated them for lunch. God said, "No" this time so I put them back.

Pushing the yummy, fluffy, buttery, garlicky biscuits (can you tell I was obsessively observing these lovelies?) at the restaurant across the table to the boys and out of my reach.

Choosing to go wunning yesterday even though I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO.

I'm leaning on a quote by Karen Ehman in Lysa's book. "Define your week by obedience, not by a number on the scale."

For the first time in this journey, I really did feel empowered making those choices. Knowing that I was choosing out of a desire to please God and put Him first made the decision a pleasure instead of a drag. It's all a matter of perspective.

What's your M2C "aha" for the week?

I just think it is amazing how God shows His love. He is moving among His girls. He is getting them ready. He is getting the Bride battle ready! He has chosen this time to draw His girls to himself and He is taking us through boot camp. I am amazed by all the women desiring to change and are doing it together through this study. We are not alone. We have someone on this journey we can relate to because there is so many sharing their journey. I just want to encourage everyone stepping out in this journey you are not alone we have a whole lot of sisters out their to encourage us. Thank you for the encouragement today Amy. Melissa Russell

You are doing a great job of being obedient. GOD always knows whats best for us, if only we seek HIM first. Thanks for sharing. We are in this journey together. When woman get together with GOD there is power.

My "moments" came when I found victory of "craving something sweet" and I took a healthy piece of bread, toasted it and put 100% fruit spread on it. It was wonderful, a "dessert" I call it. Also, the 100 calorie light pop corn for a snack when I am craving that "crunch". BUT most of all I watched all of Lysa's DVDs for her study and I am praying about doing a "home cell group" in the Spring. What a learning experience this is. Also, I am wearing my skinny jeans but that is not important as staying healthy!!! One more thing, my husband got me a set of DVD exercise from the Christian book store and she uses Christian music and a fantastic work out, one that "moves my body that wunning cannot." But I still "wun". :)

Since the first of the year I have been committed to eliminate refined sugar from my diet. I have had digestive issues that plague me and find that sugar aggrevates it. It is not only a daily choice, but sometimes an hourly choice. I am encouraged by your post and realize that so many of our choices feed our flesh. Thank-you for your ministry.

Hi Amy!

Though I'm not reading M2C, my husband and I started the year with a 21-day Daniel fast. After it ended, I felt gently led by the Lord to continue to abstain from sugar...no easy task for a girl with a mighty sweet tooth.

Last night was "spa night" at our church and there was all sorts of cut-up fruit right next to flowing chocolate fountains. I chose to eat only the fruit, and lived to tell about it. :D
