I look forward to Fridays. A lot. And I'm not sure I'm ready to confess why.
Do you have a guilty pleasure? Something you know isn't deep growth material but appeals to your girlie and feeds your shallow?
I've got a pleasure like that. Here goes...true confessions.
Say "Yes" to the Dress.
LOVE.
I love the fashion. I love the big personalities. I love the psychology of relationships of all kinds.
(My guys don't really love any of it, but they tolerate it.)
Here's a clip just in case you aren't aware of Say "Yes".
I have to tell the truth. This is an elevated clip and may not best represent the "guilty pleasure-ness" of this show. I'd like you to see it in its best light, though. :)
This show makes me want to pick out a wedding dress again, although I loved this one at the time.(Can you say 1990s?)
Even with a different dress, I'd keep the exact same groom, and I'd marry him again any day of the week! I got really excited about this idea last night and made a new Pinterest board. Check it out here.
So, seriously, do you have a reality tv show that you love? Which one and why? Do you think reality tv is affecting/changing our culture? I'm working on a message about cultural conflicts, and I'm processing thoughts about reality tv. I'd love to hear yours!

Yes, ma'am. I came here first thing today to read this post. I, too, enjoy Say Yes. Ellie and I watch it together sometimes (I'm teaching her to be modest... yeah, that's it!).
I also love home improvement shows on HGTV, except for one that seems just too contrived... It shall remain nameless. The drawback of my reality TV addiction is that I always want to improve our home. The shows portray perfect homes with no messes. Like that happens with kids and dog underfoot.
Hey my friend!
Oh my. Reality TV is my weak spot!! I love Cupcake Wars, Chopped, American Idol,Duets, Survivor, and What Not to Wear. I occasionally get sucked into Project Runway.
One thing that I believe is that the voters on shows like American Idol, Duets, and Survivor really want the good guys to win. Christians are doing well. Wish Hollywood got that! People really do want wholesome!!
Each night I crawl into bed to watch House Hunters/ House Hunters International. I find these shows will take my eyes places I may never go and see a small glimpse into the lives of different people & cultures.

My husband and I LOVE to watch American Idol, altho we never vote. I think we like it because we have 2 sons who are musicians trying to "make it big" in the industry. When I root for the participants to do well, I'm really pulling for my own kids, realizing how hard it is to break into the big time! :-}
We also like So You Think You Can Dance because those dancers do things neither of us can do with our 4 left feet!
Guilty pleasure - reading blogs, emails,FB,and Pinterest.
By the way - what a beautiful picture of "the bride"!!!
Amy, my girls and I watch this show when we go to the mountains!
